Older-School IPA, a bit of malt with amber color. Pretty basic, nothing standing out here, would rank this average at best.

On draft, in pint glass

Medium amber color, white head. Nice balance of hop aroma and mild caramel malt. Old school feel. Bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Pours a nice light orange color, aroma is slight citrus, candy, a bit of malt and hops, not much, taste is similar, more bitter, I wanted to get more citrus it was not there.

Von C Brewing Co. "Stony Creek IPA"
16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 02/07/22 09:40" and sampled on 03/28/22
$4 at the brewery on 03/26/22

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a hazy deep-amber, almost copper colored body beneath a full head of off-white foam. The aroma displays some "dankness", citrusy notes of orange and grapefruit, and a touch of pine. The taste mainly follows the aroma. The malt is bready, biscuity, grainy, and gently caramelish. There's some apple-like fruitiness to it that may be from the yeast but probably belongs to the fruity hoppiness that also includes notes of orange, grapefruit, papaya, melon, and sweet red berries. As noted in the aroma, there's also a little bit of pine, spiciness, and dankness to it as well. A very firm bitterness balances it and it finishes dry, softly bitter, spicy, and earthy. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp with a fine-bubbled carbionation that warms to become smoother. While this one is just slightly unique it doesn't push any boundaries BUT it's a really solid, well-made go-to IPA that I'm going to need to keep in mind for my next visit. It's superbly balanced and really nicely rounded. Ahh, I almost forgot to throw this in - the head held up well and there's some lacing surrounding the top of the glass that looks like snow and ice adhered to a window in winter. Nice.
