Our medium-bodied, amber colored Altbier is inspired by the malty ales of Dusseldorf. While the rest of Europe moved towards light Pilsners in the nineteenth century, the brewers of Dusseldorf focused on the traditional techniques of darker malts to make an “old beer” ale.

Clear bronze pour with an off-cream head. Smell and taste are clones: brown bread yeast atop toasty malts, minor caramel, at touch of dark fruit, and earthy tones underneath it all. Feel is so clean and crisp for the style, with a bit of motion through the sip. Just an all around great altbier that is unassuming yet technically sound

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
