Pours a beautiful copper color, Just like you would hope for from the style. the beer delivers the mineral water quality that I think of with classic English pale ales, and some of the classic old school craft New England ales such as olde burnside’s tenpenny ale, There is a slight cardboard oxidized homebrew Vibe to the aroma. It tastes better than it smells, delivering a good medium body with a balanced, not overly rich malt and a nice dry slightly bitter crisp finish But it does lack some of the hop character that I’d hope for in the year 2024. I do think this is properly brewed for the style But at the price point, I would hope for a bit More hop character To shine through. It tastes like a bit of a blast from the past… this Is the taste of craft beet from 20 years ago. Which is refreshing in one respect but underwhelming in another.
