Canned on 4/14/23; consumed on 5/12/23
Pours a turbid, nuclear lemon-gold body capped with a finger of fluffy, white foam; mediocre head retention yields a paper-thin cap and collar, while minimal-no webs of lacing cling to the walls of the glass with any longevity.
Aromas of grassy resins and grapefruit find creamy lime sherbet as lesser tones of underripe guava edge to papaya peels for a mustier, tropical rind overtone progressing through the bouquet.
Taste features mandarin, grapefruit, and lychee upfront, with edges of boggy white grape must marking the mid-palate while lemon meringue engages a bright pineapple underlay on the back end of the profile.
Mouthfeel shows a medium body with a stiff, moderate-low carbonation, with an underlying hoppy grit, taut and juicy, coursing over the mid-palate as bright, delicately creamy subtext lingers to semi-bitterness toward the finish.
Overtly twangy hop aggression overrides a juicy slick carrying myriad fruity resins, leaving an intensity both engaging yet slightly imbalanced; a solid, expressive effort.
