Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Can filled today at the brewery.
Appearance: rich, dark amber hue with a crystal-clear body and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop. It's gorgeous.
Smell: lightly sweet malt with a distinct bready, yeasty character. Enticing!
Taste: lots of malt here, with a caramel, nutty, bready character. It's on the amber side of a California Common for sure, but tasty nonetheless.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I like this beer a lot. It's maybe not 100% to my taste, but it's well-made and an interesting example of the style.
