Brewery tap-filled can, poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a medium to dark orange brown with a fine, two finger khaki head with great retention and solid lacing; looks nice. Aroma of dark, lightly toasted malt, graham cracker, vanilla and a hint of cocoa. Flavor is dark toasted malt, vanilla, graham cracker and a little milk chocolate; flavor tapers off into the finish which leaves a lingering vanilla (marshmallow) flavor. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouth feel. A stout definitely conjures up a s'more; the marshmallow vanilla and graham cracker are clear notes, with a little chocolate in the background. The malt overall is somewhat subdued for a stout, tasting lightly toasted and missing some smokiness for the perfect campfire s'more taste. A bit vanilla forward, but quite a pleasant, low key, stout that does this classic camping treat a fair impression. Super creamy head and mouth feel.
