From the label: Van Henion Double IPA finishes clean, without lingering bitterness. Yet, it packs enough hops to balance out its imperial nature. The aromatics are tropical and piney, making this beer a classic West Coast Double IPA.

a DIPA that doesn’t feature hops that jump down your throat. Nicely balanced with an unusually full malt presence for a double brewed on the West Coast - maybe it’s Van Henion’s focus nod to European styles that influenced the overall profile of this brew. Overall: Excellent. VH rarely or never disappoints.
p.s. if you’re ‘local’ the brewpub carries a fridge full of beer 6-packs at prices that are equal to or a better price than store shelves

Taster at brewery. Clear, bright golden pour, thick, dense white head. Fruity aroma, ripe fruit, hoppy. Taste is caramel, pine, citrus with a light lingering bitterness.
