Czech Ruby Lager

An amber pour with high clarity and an ample beige head that leaves some splotchy lacing all the way to the bottom.
Mild malty on the nose. The toasted malt has a pleasant caramel and nutty flavor with hints of earthy leather, black pepper and herbal notes.
Light to medium bodied mouthfeel with pleasant bitterness that is fairly well balanced.

 

Mostly clear crimson appearance with a large beige head and good lacing. A touch of caramel accompanies the bready malts in aroma. Dry, earthy flavor with floral, herbal hop underpinning. Moderately carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel. I think of it as a Czech dark lager with a softer edge.
