From the can, it pours a clear darker reddish brown color with a modest off-white head that diminishes to a ring. The nose gets some roasted malts and burnt toast. The mouth follows with the flavor of toast and malt. Decent.

Dark brown with a small tan head and light lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, burnt toast and coffee. Roasted malts added depth to the taste. Notes of chocolate, toffee and chicory helped minimize the bitterness. Smooth, medium bodied, gently carbonated mouthfeel. A style I don't get to enjoy very often.
