Local malted rustic lager with a clean and earthy rye spice. Sweet and toasty malt backed by balancing hop character, highlighted by Monocacy Hops, native to MD.

A Landbier is something a bit different style-wise for a stateside brewery although more popular in Germany. The local sourcing here probably more centered on the hop variety but the taste is more malt forward (not sure if the malts are local as well). Attractive pale gold appearance with a light haze and large head that left decent lacing. Getting some caramel under the bready, toasty aroma. Flavor tries to stay relatively balanced. A good mix of floral, herbal hops blend easily with the earthy, malty base. Medium bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel. Overall, nothing to blow you away but still comforting and tasty.
