IBU: 13
Thin, creamy white head. Pale, slightly milky, straw color. Quite a light amount of lemony, clove, banana and slight buttery aroma. Thin, bright, lemony, light toast grain flavor.

a tasty low alcohol hefe type here, wheaty and a little raw, but nice on the ferment with all the classic yeast character we want in the style and pretty clean, even if this isnt in any way special really, the quality is good not great, the flavors are good but unexceptional, and its drinkable without really beckoning me to a second pint. its neat these guys are focusing on german styles though, and i think they are a little ahead of the new brewery curve. pale washed out yellow looking brew with an average white head on it, nice ring lace as it drinks though, and a cool creamy texture. there is a little sweetness to this that cuts into both refreshment value and drinkability, but its not over the top. ripe banana and white pepper and even lemon curd from the yeast, fruity without being heavy on the spice side of the ester spectrum, short of dynamic, but good. the high carbonation helps, its a touch soapy at the end though, and will probably continue to improve in future batches. a good introduction to this place, i wish them well!
