Namsan is a not-bad APA. I bought this 16 ounce can at a chain convenience store, so it clearly has wide distribution.
It opens with a big-bubbled foam, but then goes away without a lace. Smells are average, mostly malt and citrus; but not distinguishable from the APA field. Different, Tastes are well-balanced as the hops are there from beginning to finish; but they don't try to overwhelm like so many APAs end up. Bubbly. On the light side of medium-mouthed.
Kabrew is owned by a meat producer; but given conglomerates are how things are done in Korea and Japan, I suppose a meatpacker is OK (even though I'm a vegetarian.) AI also says Kabrew is considered one of the top two craft brewers in South Korea. Unless I do the research and learn Korean, I suppose I should accept that also for now. AI indicates Kabrew does what I consider Good Guy stuff such as educating this rice cuisine about craft brewing and helping nonprofits with events and starting sustainable brewing practices. For all that, I give Kabrew very good Overall Hugs. Geonbae ! (That's "Cheers!" in Korean, in case you ever need to know that.

This is a nice one, exceeded all my expectations - recently I’ve had quite a few impressive beers from South Korea and this is one of them.
Smells amazing, citrusy, like a grapefruit. Tastes very similar, grapefruit, oranges and some sort of citrus I’ve had before but don’t recall what it might be… with a hint of canned tropical sweetness - a perfect combination. Easy to drink, not overcarbonated, does everything a nice pale ale should. Thumbs up for this one to Kabrew!
