Pours a medium to dark cranberry red with a one finger, light pink head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of saison malt and yeast with a touch of biscuit, red berries; floral. Flavor is grainy malt, saison yeast, red berries, cranberry, floral notes; a bit tart berries and grainy malt in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. This had more of fruit lambic profile for me rather than a saison and had berry fruit character that must be from the hibiscus rather than actual fruit. I tried not to list cranberry as a flavor component because I used it in the color description, but both are quite accurate, this looks and tastes like it has cranberry in it. I've smelled hibiscus before and can vaguely recognize the aroma, but this leans tart red berries for my palette. Despite the moderate tartness, I liked this quite a bit. I lean to grainy rather than tart saisons, but the hybiscus is a winning flavor here. The color of the ale and head are great. I liked this and their IPA, a great introduction to this relatively new brewery.
