Bright with tangerine, watermelon, and pineapple hop notes, Mother of Exiles is a toast to the hands that build, plant, and dream. This beer honors the promise of belonging, inspired by those who cross borders seeking better opportunities and chasing dreams. With each sip, remember: hope cannot be detained, families deserve to be whole, and freedom is meant for all. This land was shaped by the sacrifices of those who dared to dream - and we’ll raise a glass to that.

Pint at Chuck's Hop Shop.
Pours clear honey with a smallish dense head, lots of carbonation, looks nice. Smell is sweet floral and honey, lots of orange. Taste is more bitter than juicy, contrasting the nose. Tons of pith bitterness. Some stiffer than citrus bitterness. Almost a wood character. Mouthfeel is light and airy. Very nice WC IPA. Oddly juicy nose.

Clear dark yellow brew with abundant foam in the goblet. Pleasant aroma of citrus. Watery body. Flavor is grapefruit with a big dose of the rind. Finish is on the hot and harsh side with significant acidity. Aftertaste is quite bitter. Overall this is a pretty standard over-hopped IPA with lots of aromatics. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 7/10/25.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a three finger white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and mixed fruit hops, orange, green melon, pineapple and mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus, mixed tropical fruit and lightly dank hops, orange, grapefruit, mixed tropical fruit and some catty dankness. Moderate bitterness in the finish with some unexpected pine lingering. An interesting flavor progression, with mostly citrus up front, then some mixed fruit, a tapering of flavor but leaving a lingering piney memory. I really liked the finish. I was unconvinced that it was really a West Coast, but the finish sold me. Quite nice.
