Clear dark amber brew with plenty of foam in the Kasteel chalice. Warm and mellow with just enough yeasty scratch. Fruity aromas and pear in the nose. Interesting flavors with a touch of fruitcake and herbal hop notes. Cereal flavor with blackberry. Just a bit of astringency in the aftertaste but plenty of Belgian character minus the excessive yeast taste of a lot of American saisons. From the 32 oz crowler can purchased at the brewery taproom.
