Canned on 5/22/23; consumed on 10/16/23
Pours a slightly foggy, deep hold body topped with three fingers of sudsy, eggshell-white foam; good head retention leaves a finger of cap, large, frothy collar, and comprehensive layering of soapy lacing caked across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of crisp grain waft through grassy rice interspersed over the front of the bouquet, with taut straw accents finding a vague lemon essence over the back end for a fuller, floral culmination.
Taste offers a tinge of white bread met with a soft lemon verbena underscore upfront; airs of grain silo and taut rice over the mid-palate, followed by soft grass guiding a rustically funky edge into the finish.
Mouthfeel shows a light body, taut and crisp, carried by a medium-full carbonation; subtle, toasty grit eases into dryness past the mid-palate, leaving a clean, satisfying 'snap' peaking into the swallow.
Delicate sweetness filters through a crisp malt structure, simultaneously airy and grain-forward, while a somewhat zesty floral detailing brings additional subtlety to an already gratifying simplicity.
