A cold crisp refreshing lager will always be at the heart of Australia's beer drinking culture. This easy drinking lager has been specially crafted in memory of the Brewer's Grandfather who loved to smash down a few cold ones.

Purchased in January 2023 at the Dromedary Hotel in Tilba Tilba. Drunk in March 2023.
L: Slightly hazy, light-yellow beer with a thin rim of head at the edge of the glass. Low to medium carbonation can be seen in the glass.
S: Clean, lemon-tinged, light floral notes with a subtle malt base. Very nice.
T: Moderately bitter, with floral and lemon-tinged hop notes. There's no significant change from what's in the nose, but that's to be expected with clean lager. A lightly buttery note sits under everything and becomes more noticeable retronasally. I'm unsure if that's the malt base or a touch of diacetyl, but it's not an offensive or off-putting note. The beer nerd in me wants to mark it down for diacetyl but since I'm not sure I'll let it ride.
M: Carbonic prickle is significant and the beer pokes the throat, tongue and gullet all the way down. As a result, it's not a beer that could be drunk quickly, but it's light enough in body and alcohol to have multiple servings in one session.
O: This is a nice lager, and giving it the benefit of the doubt on the buttery note means there's really not much to complain about.
Cheers!
