Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: light silvery-shimmery gold hue with a dash of haze and a thin layer of frothy white foam atop. Pretty nice.

Smell: lightly sweet malt aroma with a rather adjunct-y quality to it. Not inappropriate to the style, necessarily, but it's not really outstanding to me.

Taste: a bit sweet with a rather corny malt flavor and a light hoppiness. It's not too bad, though rather adjunct-y.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: although it's quite to-style, this beer just doesn't grab me.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, light to medium straw with a hint of gold and a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of mildly grainy biscuit malt, grassy noble hops, wheat and a touch of caramel. Flavor follows with biscuit malt with a touch of graininess, light grassy hops, wheat and oat grain. Flavor tapers off into a grassy hop and thin biscuit finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. It's been a while since I've had many lighter American lagers, but this seems to hit all the right notes. In some ways the flavor seems a lot like a mild Vienna lager, but with more robust grain character. The flavor somewhat meanders at the end, leaving a somewhat mild and lightly hopped finish. A pleasant example of a sessionable lager.
