Pours a hazy apricot hue with a creamy two finger head and some nice lacing here and there, the smell is citrus, gooseberries,a touch of toffee and some passionfruit, the mouthfeel is overcarbonated and just over light bodied which is a let down and the tastes are passionfruit, lychees, toffee and finished with a citrus bitterness and overall its average and i will not be revisiting cheers.

Average beer, darker color, lacks flavor and complexity. One time deal...

I saw this beer at a Shoppette on an American AF base in Germany. I got really excited because we don't often get to try IPAs out here. I bought a 6-pack but planned on coming back for a case because I LOVE a good IPA.
The appearance was pretty good. Nice head, light brown/amber color, great lacing.
Smell was NOT what I expected. I barely get any hop characteristics off the nose. It was actually more malty than anything else. This actually made me check the age... the bottle assured me it should be good for another 4-5 months. Phew... After another check I get some light earthiness from the hops and maybe even a bit of dankness.
Not what I am used to from most deliciously fruity NZ hops.
Taste is not that of an IPA. I was now really disappointed. There is mostly roasty maltiness but also bitterness. It actually clashes, though. It has some bulk bitterness (seems like more than 35 IBUs) but none of the wonderful flavors of the hops. Maybe the hops used were not fresh, maybe the beer was not cared for... I don't know. :(
The mouthfeel is actually pretty good too. Thick and smooth. Best feature of this beer maybe.
There is a bit a dank-hoppy aftertaste that lingers. It is actually kind of nice. However, not something I will go back for more. Even in the IPA deprived world or Germany.
A strange beer... not terrible, but not something you want when in the mood for an IPA.

Bottle: standard 500mL brown bottle with an ordinary macro label. Pretty boring stuff.
Appearance: pours a slightly hazy copper orange colour with a two-finger head that drops to a solid cap. Reasonable lacing. Looks decent.
Aroma: orchard fruit aromas - apples and pears - with some spices. Definitely comes across as quite flat and low in hop for an IPA.
Taste: quite flat here, too. Not much flavour behind this but moreso just lacking in body. Those characteristics on the nose do come through, but really not much there.
Aftertaste: dissipates quickly, unfortunately it doesn't have a heap of drinkability either.
Mouth feel: quite flat here - moderate body but with far too low carbonation.
Overall: with the equivalent case of 24 x 330mL bottles being over AU$120 per case, the price is simply outrageous for this flat and tasteless "India Pale Ale". Not a dreadful beer, but the price is completely restrictive and this is most certainly NOT an IPA (even the blurb on the back of the bottle calls it a Pale Ale).

Approachable IPA that in all reality is more of a pale ale....subdued hoppiness and lower ABV for an IPA..
Fruity impression with pears and apples along with some light tropical fruits....more of a bready/bsicuity maltiness...medium bodied....not much of any bitterness...nothing wrong or off with this but pretty dumbed down and basic....like I said it's an English style Pale Ale or Bitter...

Fresh aroma of citrus fruit nice head when poured. Pale amber colour. Nice fresh flavours in the mouth and hint of malty sweetness on the end. Overall a nice easy going introduction style of IPA but lacks deppth of more craft IPAs, nice beer that will get people into the IPA style.
