Metamorphosis is a DIPA hopped with Citra / brewed with barley, wheat and heirloom oats.

A: The beer is very hazy brownish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface, a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberry and lychee are present in the nose along with hints of caramel malt.
T: The taste has flavors of lychee along with notes of passion fruit and hints of lime and caramel malts. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, smooth and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The use of oats lightens up the body of this beer and makes it a lot easier to drink compared to what I would expect for a Double IPA.
