This is a beer for drinking. Think farmhouse pale ale. This beer is can-conditioned so it still has all the frothy goodness you can expect from Another Moon beer - just in a can instead of a bottle. Brewed with NY state malt and NY Excelsior and a touch of NZ Motueka hops to keep things interesting. Notes of melon, kiwi, mango, and lemon. Moony's Ale: built for the trail.

Transparent pale gold (SRM 3-5). Five inches of off white head is tight and long lasting. The head turns rocky, breaks apart and leaves patches of lace on a Pretentious Glass Company Crispi Boi tulip glass.
The aroma opens with horse blanket funk at its best. Lemon and orange follow close on its heels.
The flavor has a nice farmhouse pungency, followed by pine tar and hops as equal partners. The bitterness is pleasant against a mild and very slight sourness. This is very dry, with a long finish of pine needles, ultimately becoming mildly bitter.
The texture is similar to scratchy wool, maybe tweed. It has a medium body and alcohol that is far more present than labeled. Carbonation is soft and prickly.
This is a great summer beer and is refreshing after several hours of working in the heat. I paired it with an aged Havarti which worked well.

16oz can from HalfTime. Cloudy golden pour, towering, airy foamy head. Grassy, yeasty aroma, touch of tartness, lemon peel. Taste is fruity and bready, yeasty back end, dry finish. Lemon peel accents.

Somewhat cloudy yellow body with a tight yet full white head. Smell of wet grain, lemon, hay, pear, with supporting grapefruit, piney, forest floor, melon, and pineapple. Taste is hoppier, which to be fair it did promise on the can, but almost dry brett notes of hop leading with all those fruits behind. Feels dry and gets wet through the sip, not a very complex body by any means, but doesn’t break down, just want more yeast character from a saison to match the pale hops

Mooney's Ale pours a perfect golden bronze color with a large, frothy, lacing, long-lasting head. The aroma has extensive giant notes of spice and Belgian candy. The flavor is big, bold, sweet, Belgian candies, earthy flowers, herbs, a bitter hop, and a lovely finish. Good feel. Overall, an amazing saison flavor, the "hoppy" is good, but does take away from this amazing saison.
