under the newly trendy cold ipa banner, this is a really light and bright take on the style, impossibly crisp for an ipa, totally ferment neutral, really well executed stuff, seems to be built on pils malt, pale yellow in the glass, glowing from the tap under an inch of white head, looks great. the nose and taste are complex for what the brewer tending the bar tells me is just mosaic and citra, smells way more dynamic than that, almost a an early cryo start from the hops, and lots of stoke fruit, white peach and even green pear compliment more familiar meyer lemon and canned pineapple qualities, oily and floral at the same time, and pleasantly bitter to finish, very much a west coast expression here, but not balanced out by crystal malts and excessive bittering hops, its more delicate than that in both realms, and i find myself loving the hop trajectory as well as both the light crackery grain flavor and the light body is brings. oily on the tongue but very light, nicely carbonated, and with a fun fruity linger, even past this bitterness. excellent recipe and execution, the cold part of this is better than others ive had recently in the style, and i am stoked these guys exist. get in there and check them out!
