I had this on draft 2/15/24 @ the Hopleaf.

Semi-opaque red/orange appearance.

Small white head; nice lacing remained.

Tart strawberry, oak & faint honey notes in the nose. A dynamite nose!

Medium mouthfeel.

Strawberry & mild honeyed grain flavors up front; dry oak notes on the finish.

This smelled amazing & tasted pretty damn good. I'd have another.

Watch out when opening this one, it is a gusher! Cloudy yellow body with a full white head and plenty of thick lacing. Big hay, lemon and cheesecloth funk leading the nose with oak, green apple, pear, and white pepper. Taste is more bretty in the funk with some cheesecloth in the background, bonding with the hay and now starring oak, supported by lemon, white pepper, earthy grain, and dried floral spice, but I agree with emerge077's thoughts that the brett and oak are on the verge of overpowering these nuances. Feel is funky and playfully sour, carbonation is a touch high, yeast is airy, almost feels a bit spicy on the finish with the oak and funk potency

Glowing saturated orange, huge billowing head of foam, three dimensional lacing that coats the glass. Lasting head retention, very nice looking.

Aroma is funky, musty wet wood, moldy orchard apples, washed rind cheese. Light spritzy feel, tart lemon, dry and lightly phenolic, peppercorns and dried herbs, clove and rosemary. Clover honey aftertaste. The funky wet wood and Brett are nearly overpowering, but are complex and interesting at the same time. Light acidity, maximum funk. Medium bodied.

Overall it’s very musty and Brett forward, which will likely be polarizing. As a fan of the funk i’m certainly into it, but your mileage may vary.
