Pours a dark burnished golden color. Crystal clear and lightly effervescent. full four or five finger, pillowy, thick white head forms on the beer, lingers for a few moments, then dissipates. Lots of lacing lingers behind.
Aroma has notes of sweet malts, white bread, a touch of sweet bread, brioche and some light grassy hops.
Taste is really sweet - sweet malts, sweet bread, some brioche, even some light honey notes. The hops are there - but very subtle. Just some light grassy, straw notes.
Feel is light to medium bodied. It is surprisingly hefty given what you are expecting from a beer like this. Spritzy carbonation. Sweet finish.
Overall it is a decent beer, especially at the price point. I doubt it has much in common with its inspirational namesake - the Cuban brewed Mi Cristal - but its a fun little bit of nostalgia.
