12oz can, boneshaker amber canned 5-19-22. Unsure if this is a different beer technically from the boneshaker bitter that's apparently available on tap at the railyard location as this can is labeled gluten reduced and 5.7% I asked the brewery, still waiting for a response, so for now I'll leave this here.
On the pour into my nonic pint, a 2.5 finger head forms, then gradually becomes rocky as it recedes. Color is a light murky brown to amber, but not all that dark of a beer. A good amount of fast moving carbonation but nothing crazy. A decent amount of head retention bit the bubbles become a bit large, amd no real lacing.
Aroma is quite hop forward and resinous, with some citrus notes. Behind all that is a subtle warm bready malt aroma. I wish it was less hop forward and let the malt shine a bit more, but what I can smell of the malts is exciting.
Flavor brings a bit more british bitter vibes than the aroma. Citrus from the hops becomes much more reserved and the hops taste more bitter than they seemed on the aroma. The malts are much more forward and build up to balance the hops as the flavor evolves. Nice big malty beer with a good amount of bittering hops and some citrusy American hop vibes as well.
Feel is a bit light amd almost crisp but that could be a good thing with summer coming in. It's pretty sessionable despite the abv and is a very balanced beer. Good light co2 bite and some chewiness from the head, despite being gluten reduced, while still feeling pretty light.
Overall a decent americanized ESB that's pretty hoppy but still let's the malts shine. Didn't realize it was gluten reduced but, it still holds up pretty good. Tasty hoppy malty esb.

Had it on tap poured into a shaker pint glass.
Clear golden yellow color with decent head and lacing. Bready, slightly sweet smelll and taste. Pleasant bitterness. Was good with the steak salad at the brewpub.
