Picked up a growler of this from the Bend location today. Description: We took everyone's favorite light beer and invited it to the fresh hop party. We used fresh Crystals from Doug Weathers farm in the conditioning tank for a mellow yet aromatic hop pop. 33IBUs, 5.3% ABV
A crystal (ha!) clear with a dense, creamy (ha!) white head that sticks around a while, leaving some nice lacing, The nose has a moderate fresh hop character. Lemony, leafy, earthy, moderately floral and a touch of grapefruit, there's not much else apart from the delicate hop nose to this. Some orange blossom honey and cotton candy are also present. The palate opens with a mild bitterness and a moderate flavor, the wet hop delicacy here is excellent. Leafy but not grassy, there's a blend of fruit (citrus, grapefruit, a touch of lemon), honeydew melon, a little bit of dough and a touch of cotton candy. Light in body, a touch watery on the finish, this beer is smooth on the palate and quite refreshing, if unexciting. Solid.
