Poured from a nitro tap into a standard pint glass.
Appearance is mind blowing. Watching the nitro just consume the glass with such a light colored beer was so cool. Color was a murky medium tannish color. Full lacing and of course a beautiful nitro white head.
S: Loads of malt sweetness on the nose mix with citrus and floral hops.
T: The malt is first up with a honey sweetness and that seems to just get started when all of a sudden this huge whooshing hop flavor come crashing in. The hops are citrusy and floral and really mix well with the sweet malt. Cream ale? You bet, this baby is super smooth and creamy with the oats but maintains total balance. This is one terrific cream ale. Finish turns slightly sweet but remains creamy and actually sort of dries out at the end. Fantastic beer.
M: My god, creamy, creamy, creamy. No alchohol, so very drinkable!
O: A fantastic beer, really well done and one of the best cream ales I've ever had. And on nitro no less makes it that much more so smooth and drinkable. I'm not sure if Deschutes makes a CO2 version of this, but who cares. Bring on the nitro creamsicle ale!

The best example of a cream ale I have ever tried. It was on nitro very creamy very rich flavors with hops. A nice one finger head that is creamy with good retention.
