I've had a fairly limited experience with cask ales (prob. under ten before this), but I always looked at BA articles and reviews and wondered what the big deal was because I never thought it was all that special.
This beer (and their Horseridge IPA on cask) gives me cause for pause and a chance to think, "perhaps I've been missing something".
A fantastic medium amber/red color and wonderfully cloudy head caught my eye immediately.
Slightly floral and only minor citrus hop aroma blended with a robust, rather than sweet, malt nose.
This was perhaps the best beer I've ever had on tap. I wouldn't bother to describe it in terms of character, but rather in terms of experience. You won't get this unless you're in the pub. Get there. Get it.
I could drink it all day, all night... if I lived in Bend... but I'll be back....

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
