Pours a clear and traditional english brown with a finger of head that lingers then dies. Smells of hazelnut, vanilla, a hint of hops and malt. The taste is true to its smell along with caramel and biscuit. Feels medium in the mouth with a decent carbonation. Slight bitter hop finish that goes away before you remember it. All in all a very drinkable and tasty brew from Deschutes.
