Draft at Double Tap. Clear, light golden pour, collar of white head. Aroma is zesty, citrus, lemongrass. Taste offers mild tartness with a citric zing, and a ginger backbone. Chili not so much, but there is a spicy hit at the finish.

Pours clear, gold in color with minimal head. Taste is big ginger and pale malt. Light bodied, slightly sour, dry, with moderate carbonation. Great ginger taste. Could do several.

8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square - wow, the Deschutes rep is really working it of late.
This beer appears a clear, medium golden yellow colour, with one skinny finger of wispy and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some random streaky and filmy lace around the glass as things slowly progress.
It smells of ginger root, gritty and grainy cereal malt, a faint earthy spiciness, and very little else. The taste is tart ginger ale, grainy and crackery pale malt, a still difficult to pinpoint spicy essence, sour lime citrus rind, and very, very tame earthy, leafy, and floral green hop bitters.
The carbonation is quite active in its palate-tickling frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, with just a hint of spicy astringency perhaps taking things down a notch or so here. It finishes trending dry, the ginger sealing the lingering deal.
Overall - this essentially delivers on the titular (and thus marketing) promise of ginger and spice and everything nice. Worth checking out, if you can find it, that is.
