So first, let me state that my little group of friends were at Deschutes and I got to taste this right along side of the Inversion IPA. It is suspiciously similar in almost every respect, except that this one is cloudy. We came to the drunken conclusion that this limited release Altitude Amber is just a bad or messed-up/tweaked Inversion IPA.
It's got a big hops bill. Crystal and caramel malts are overpowered by the high alpha hops. Orange and dry herbal hops with a light body.
Like I said, trying this side by side with the Inversion was almost indistinguishable, though the appearance was dramatically different.
