This is a bit of a novelty beer in that they added chocolate to their pale ale. The beer actually has a real chocolate nose that almost seems wrong on the style of beer. The taste was not very chocolatey but rather a straightforward APA that is well hopped. Interesting experiment but maybe not right for the style.

Quite an intriguing brew. First of all, it's brewed with 2 types of chocolate in the mash. It threw me off because this one looks like a pale ale, dark golden.
Cascade and Liberty hops make this one a nice crisp PA at 59 IBU's.
Aroma is of bitter dry caramel malt and grassy hops.
Not getting any chocolate in this one, and i'm trying hard to find it. It's got a bittersweet crispness and dryness to it, perhaps thats all the chocolate added. Since the chocolate was added to the mash, it doesnt surprise me it's hidden well.
An interesting brew, in theory, but it's just too mild and reminds me of a generic Mirror Pond style PA.
