On tap at Deschutes PDX 6/19 poured into a snifter.

Amber brown semi-clear (may have been poured a bit too cold, cleared as it warmed up), 2 fingers white head, some lacing. Prominent malts in the nose, caramel and chocolate, yummy. Malts also prominent on the tastebuds, with a bit of fruitiness (raisins?figs??) attributable to use of Rochefort yeast. Hops almost non-existent. Fairly dry finish, but low carbonation in mouthfeel. Pretty drinkable, if I had more time I would have ordered another, alcohol well hidden. A nice interpretation of Belgian style by one of America's leading brewmasters, I 'd like to see more of these in the future (how about a summer Saison, John?).
