Smells of tropical fruit.
Full mouth feel.
Tastes of oranges. Sweet; no bitterness.

This is one of the best DIIPA's I've had. It does not taste like a DIIPA, no bite, no alcohol taste and quite light. It went down really easy and could get you high in a hurry, if you drink too many. Plus, I love fresh hopped beer, and this is probably the best one I've had. Just the right balance of ingredients to make an excellent beer. As always Deschutes has another winner!

Purchased at a local grocery store.

Look: Cloudy orange-yellow.
Smell: Ok, some Citra Hops come through.
Taste: A good Cascade hop bitterness is subdued by an orange juice flavor.
Feel: High in mouth.
Overall: Not the best citrusy IPA I’ve had, but still better than most shithole Hazies. Being a citrus guy I personally wouldn’t recommend it as I found the flavoring to be off, and would have preferred this beer to be much more bitter.

Canned on 10/12/23.... not bracingly fresh but.....here we go...

An earlier review mentioned that this was a throwback IPA. I would definitely agree with that assessment. It reminds me a lot of 90 minute.... Perhaps not as tasty but along the same line. Lots of pine. And a little bit of sweetness. It's not bad, but it's not great, either? I like the 9%.

Glad I got to try this. But I don't know that I would buy it again.

Poured from tall can into ale glass. Just inside the 4-month freshness window.

Looks: Pours a slightly hazy opaque (I can still see my fingers through the glass, so not hazy-hazy, y'know?) orange-gold. Foamy one-finger head quickly dissipates to a razor-thin cap.

Smell: Big pineapple and orange juice, and vague hint of something coniferous. That's it.

Taste: A lot more pine (and even some spruce) than the nose let on- I even get a bit of juniper for a second. The pineapple and orange provide a bright, ever-present background to contrast these notes, but given how fruity the nose was, and the "juicy" marketing, I can't say I'm not let down.

Feel: Definitely a bit more body than many IPAs, which I like. Just a bit more lightly carbonated than the average DIPA, but still tingly.

Overall: At this point in IPA history, this feels a bit like a relic- kind of like SN Torpedo, but better. Some of the new IPAs and DIPAs I've had in the past year have blown my mind. But I like fruitier IPAs (and floral ones- rare as those may be, they do exist). Dank pine/conifer flavour lovers will have a completely different take on this than me. It ain't bad though, much as I may sound like I'm ragging on it. Sometimes you want the classics.

Foggy gold color with a thin white head. Nice, tropical flavors and aromas without being too fruity/juicy. Creamy med-full body. Quite pleasant and very drinkable for 9% abv

Pours a foggy orange gold with a finger of rocky head that dissipates to a thin ring with some lacing. Aroma of mango, tangerine, and pineapple. Taste follows nose.

cloudy bronze color, white foam
smells of pineapple, orange pith, nectarine, cream sickle. hoppy fruit salad
I get all of that in the taste, and there's some sort of elusive bitterness, almost soapy. Pine resin perhaps, much more intense than I've had before. However, rather than complement the sweetness in this beer, it cuts cross grain. it's almost at the synthetic end of 'pine'.
sweet malt underpinning as it warms up, medium to light viscosity as it goes down
I like this beer, all accept for that strange, varnish like accent I can't pin down. It's not overpowering, but there along with everything else, right at mid palate.

Poured from 19.2oz tall can into a dimpled mug. Canned 10/2/22.

Appearance: medium orange hue with a light haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam with a hint of orange. Looks good to me!

Smell: quite piquant up front, with a bitter, orange-peel aroma. Malt is lightly sweet, but it's the sharp bitterness that comes through the most. It's not terrible, but I'm not the biggest fan.

Taste: sweet malt with lots of citrusy (orange and grapefruit) character. The flavor is good, but there's that sharp bitterness again -- it's almost sour. Don't get me wrong, I like bitter, but this just feels out of place here.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: a bit underwhelming for a DIPA, but a decent enough beer. It's got some rough edges that could be smoothed out.
