Enjoyed on draft, at the brewery. Pours the hazy color you'd expect, yellowish, with a nicely carbonated head. The nose is thick with bruised fruit/bananas and the taste was too, with hints of clove. Possibly a bit over carbonated - but a nice little beer nonetheless. Cheers!

Poured into a 300ml glass at the Portland pub.
Poured a hazy straw yellow with an very carbonated head. Almost no protein in this head, but overall this beer looks good.
Smelled like dried banana chips.
Taste was pretty good, you can tell they fermented this at a lower temp to bring out the clove taste rather than bananas - despite the smell. Pretty good.
Mouthfeel was very carbonated, a bit much for this style.

On tap at Churchill's for Deschutes' Blitzkrieg.
A: Translucent straw gold with a white cap. Pretty light in color.
S: Lightly phenolic with notes of clove and esters that are redolent of banana and bubblegum. Pretty mild. Tame with no booze or harsh notes. It's like a light Bavarian Hefeweizen.
T: Wheat and clove mingle with light banana and faint bubblegum. No evident alcohol or hop character.
M: Light in body with upper moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is fluffy and spritzy.
Overall: Seems like a light version of a Bavarian Hefeweizen. Pretty good, but not one of the brewery's finer offerings and not something I'd rush to revisit.
