First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Good balance of malts and hops in the aroma; pretty basic stuff here. Taste of sweet malts, bready, with rye spice only present as a subtlety. Intense hop bitterness makes for a dry finish and a lasting aftertaste. Medium-bodied and pretty easily drinkable.

Had on-tap at Deschutes in Portland, OR. Poured a reddish orange color with a bit of haze to it, and a small off-white head that left minimal lacing. Had an aroma of rich caramel, sweet malts and a touch of bitter hops. The malt profile is very big, and the caramel flavors complement the profile of this beer well. The bitter hop flavor is well balanced in the beer.
Medium in body with low carbonation. Overall a very smooth, drinkable beer that I enjoyed. Recommended.

On tap at the Portland Brewpub.
Served in a Deschutes Pint Glass.
A - Pours a medium cloudy orange with a small bright white head that fades to a thin film on top.
S - Subtle Rye and Malts.
T - Wheat, Malt, Rye.
D - Lower carbonation and lighter body.
O - Smooth and light, easy drinking. It is hard for me to pinpoint the subtleness here. Rye is rye to me.
