Fresh Hop Twilight Ale
The hops did not "get the memo" that it was Labor Day Weekend when they decided to mature for picking. So- off we drove to Yakima and picked up 150 lbs of fresh Amarillo's from Gamache Farms. All of the traffic was headed the other way. Against the flow- how we like it. Big thanks to Aloha produce for their help. Enjoy!
IBUs 35 | Alcohol by Vol. 5%
A - Served a dull, cloudy orange with a small white head. Spots of lacing are left on the glass.
S - Very citrusy and floral.
T - Floral, citrus, and malty.
D - Average body and carbonation. A much better balance then some of the other fresh hopped beers I have had.
O - Twilight isn't one of my favorites, but I really enjoyed this version. I was glad it was more balanced as well.
