Blue Sky Pale Ale
This pale ale features a similar malt profile to that of mirror pond, with just a touch less caramel. Complementing the body is the flavor of Galaxy hops and the big open aroma of Amarillo hops.
IBUs 45 | Alcohol by Vol. 5.7%
On tap at the Portland Pub on 4.16.12
A - Served a darker, cloudy orange with a nice light tan head. Solid retention and tons of lacing left on the glass.
S - Very fruity and citrusy. Almost soapy, which I have noticed on some of Deschutes "experimental" brews.
T - The taste is great, Nice citrus, floral, and light malt backbone.
D - Good carbonation, the body was a bit sticky for a pale ale.
O - Very nice. I would drink this one again if I had the chance. Don't let the smell scare you off, it tastes good.
