16oz pint
Portland, OR Restaurant location
A: Pours a caramel color with a slightly off white head. Leaves some lacing bits on the glass.
S: On the nose, I get smells of spice. Then those white grape from the Nelson hops, which are one of my favorites.
T: The taste follows, love Nelson hops. So clean and such different fruit character then you get from other hop varieties. The Rye spice bitterness is up front then those sweet floral notes. The close is mildly bitter and dry, as to be expected.
M: This is a medium bodied brew.

American PA with rye. 60 IBU's. On tap at PDX pub.
Nice fall leaf orange with thick rim of light tannish yellow foam and some lace. Smells of grapefruit and a bit of diacetyl (which seems to really be nice here), oddly. Flavor is bitter with a bit of B.O. flavor and a nice firm Pale malt structure. Slightly dry with medium body and low carb. I liked this one more than the description would lead on. It was refreshingly masculine.
