DATE: May 1, 2026... OCCASION: Cavs looking to close out the Raptors--this should be a good accompaniment for the night, my first from this brewery I have passed about once a month on my way to see brother Bob... GLASSWARE: Otto's masskrug... a nearly opaque black body fronts a dark cream head that forms a soft, fluffy froth... toasted bread malts, some lactic hints, chocolate, licorice, and candied sugars... a strong, alluring, almost dessert-like aroma... its medium-bodied, effervescent mouthfeel is chewy, soda-like, and long its malty finish... in fact, its sip suggests a porter more than a lager, with strength and weight--impressive for a 5% ABV... chocolate, toasted malts, licorice, slight resin, and sweet sugars... an engaging, flavorful, easy-drinking lager isa great introduction to this brewery...definitely stopping there in the future for more offerings...
