From a 473ml can dated 22-07-2025. Poured into a pint glass. A one finger fine white head on a slightly hazy straw. The head soon diminishes to a layer. Lots of fine lacing.

Fruity, grainy malts in the nose. Tastes of fruit up front. A vegetal finish with minimal hop bitterness.

Medium body and carbonation. Overall a drinkable but unremarkable American Blonde Ale.

473 mL can from TBS; I don't see a canning date. Served slightly chilled.

Pours bright golden-blonde, its otherwise clear complexion marred by countless flecks of flocculent sediment that hover throughout the liquid. Half a finger of head is quickly reduced to a thin collar and sudsy cap, with good lace deposition after a sip or two; quite attractive, at least visually. Cereal grains on the nose, with notes of corn chips and doughy malts.

I'd be lying if I said I loved this blonde, but it is drinkable. Flavours of whole grain bread and cereal sweetness dominate, with a hint of earthy, dirty hop bitterness on the back end. Faintly vegetal, concluding with a grainy-sweet aftertaste that dissipates gradually. Light-medium in body, with firm carbonation and a slightly frothy mouthfeel that I found appealing - it's crisp and highly crushable.

Final Grade: 3.32, barely squeaking in at a B-. As far as blondes go, Bailout is not anything to write home about. Not particularly clean-tasting, and a little on the sweet side for my tastes, but I do appreciate the hop presence towards the tail end, which brings some balance to the profile. The back label describes this as a "modern lager", and if I'm being honest it does seem closer to a macro/adjunct lager than a typical American blonde, for better or worse. I doubt I'd pick this up again, but that doesn't mean other BAs shouldn't give it a fair shake.
