As this is a Bavarian-style hefeweizen with added strawberry purée I was expecting more of a traditional hefeweizen with strawberry and banana notes but it's really more of a fruited American wheat with a light-medium body and crisp carbonation. That's not to say that they haven't used Bavarian hefeweizen yeast, just that it doesn't come through in a strong way. It's phenolic with clove and yeast, and may be Weihenstephaner yeast.
