For this collaborative effort with Fitzhugh Brewing we created a mashup of styles: Hazy IPA and Saison with French ingredients. Belgian Pilsner malt, French grown hops, and French strain of Saison yeast pair with wheat, oats, and Hazy IPA brewing techniques to create a hybrid style beer that is highly attenuated and dry yet still maintains a silky-smooth mouthfeel and big fruity hop character. Barbe Rouge, Triskel, and Aramis hops are layered in with the classic Saison phenolics to yield aroma notes of strawberry, tangerine citrus, pear, and white grape. At once dry and funky yet smooth and hop-fruity.
