I'm not sure why they felt the need to slap a year on the name, since this is the first time they've made this and it's just an IPA, but here we are.
Appearance is fairly clear gold, slightly pale, with a bubbly white head that retains, yet sparsely and unevenly so.
Smell is a little pithy and dank while the palate starts fluffy soft, citrusy and spicy. But then it quickly turns sharp and boozy, warming my ears instantly, and scratching the throat a little.
It begins promisingly, but immediately turns punishing, a little aspiriny and fusel.

Sweet tropical hoppy, a hint of old-school hoppy, and a pine tree piney, Mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a super-clean and super smooth, piney-hoppy dank bitter finish...slightly dry on the backend. Whoa! This hides the big ABV really, really well...I think the dryness and the clean/crispy mouthfeel help in this area. As it warms, the piney-dank bitter vibes come out more, but this only compliments and doesn't take away from the overall outstanding quality here. This is a great triple westie!
