Our first ever New York Farm beer! This “West Coast” pilsner was brewed with 100% floor-malted violetta pilsner malt from our new friends @murmurationmalts in Bloomfield. We hopped it heavily on the hot side with New York Cascade from @hopguild and lightly in a coolpool with some citra, simcoe, and hallertau blanc. It was then fermented under pressure with our house lager yeast and conditioned for 5 weeks. The result is a west coast trend we can get behind: snappy, crisp, with light lemon fruitiness and some New York charm.

On tap at Grow Brewing in New Hartford, NY.
This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells slightly lemony, with weed, hay, and bready malts.
This has a simple solid malt backbone to it – bready, not too sweet, and is basically a nice bed for the lemony, grassy, and piney hop character.
This is really solid, snappy, crisp, and clean, with a really nice drinkability to it.
I love a good American style hoppy pilsner, and it’s not surprising that Grow would do it well.
