The Germans probably wouldn’t stand for this, but this lager was produced with traditional methods and one caveat: Corn! 60% of the grain bill was made up of flaked maize and whole purple corn which underwent a cereal boil before single decocting the mash to produce a sweet, round base before fermenting with a new-to-us lager yeast and conditioning for six weeks. Ridiculously smooth and easy drinking for everyone.

On tap at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells extremely crisp and clean, with some toasted corn, light graininess, and some grassy hop character.
This has such a clean and wonderfully rustic, clean, and dry feel to it. There’s a toasty corn sweetness here, with a nice dry rustic and grassy hop bitterness here.
This is super light, but still substantial, and really, really drinkable.
I could easily drink a lot of this one, it was really well done.
