Fruity, spicy and malt dominant, Waco Ale Co.'s Belgian styled Quad comes in at a whopping 10.4% alcohol content for a monster of a beer.
Deep burgundy and cast in a fine mystic haze, Quadzilla carries an initial froth with the strong scent of dried fruit, dark fruit, berry and grape. Spicy with a collection of holiday spices, the nose is a perfumy blend of fruitcake. As the flavors flood the early palate, the malty rich taste of brown sugar, toffee an honey coat the tongue.
Eventually, the fruity esters pull from the lingering sweetness with impressions of raisin, cherry, date and fig with blackcurrant and red grape lurking behind. Balancing with clove, allspice and peppercorn, a general holiday spice collection provides an offset to the malt and fruity. Trending peppery and lightly bittered, the late taste is pleasantly vinous with hints of brandy and red apple in closure.
Full bodied and holding the weight more associated with barleywine, Quadzilla finishes malty sweet and with a long afterglow of fruitcake and apple once more.

Dark in color with a forced head that fades quickly. Nose is tobacco and cherry, maybe dried fruit. Taste was much like nose, cherry, dried fruit and then hint of tobacco. ABV was not evident at all. Good beer.
Tried my second cam after it sat for 15 days. Booze is heavy on nose. Still had cherry and dried fruit on taste.
