Satisfying the thirst that builds in all that Texas heat, Waco Ale washes away the thirst of Waco with a classic, clean and refreshing pilsner.
Bright straw and teeming with carbonaiton, Sgt. Hugo's floats a cottony white froth before drifting onto the nose with fresh baking bread, light dough, floral aromas and a bright grassy perfume. The first sip is cleanly malty with a sweet grain introduction that hinges again on fresh bread, powdered sugar and a hint of honey.
What started floral quickly shifts toward an herbal and lightly grassy flavor once the ale splashes the middle palate. With sweetness fading, the carbonation creates a snappy dryness that highlights the balancing hop bitterness for a session of dryness, crispness and mild fruitiness.
Medium-light, brisk and lively throughout, the lager won't mesmerize the senses with an abundance of flavor but its simple flavor profile and cleanly brewed techniques makes it a perfect beer to drink while you're figuring out what to drink.

Light copper in color. Nose is malty and zesty. Taste is initially tart then slight bitterness. Good refreshing feel to this pilsner. This would hold up in comparison to many of the well known pilsners.
