“You, sir, are a drunk!” “Yes, madam. But in the morning I will be sober, and you will still be ugly.” And it’s like that - this beer slays like Winston Churchill torching a broad. I’d enjoy this one by a fireside chat all night long.

On tap, in a shaker pint glass, in the very cool 1886 Brewing Company barroom.
Appearance - Pretty caramel color. Great clarity. Thin fine head. A bit of stickage on the inside of the glass. A handsome ale.
Nose - Malty. Sweet. A whiff of hops. Nice.
Taste - Like the smell, malty and sweet. The hops are there too (mild citrus flavor). A slight peppercorn flavor on the backend. Very nice.
Mouth - Slick yet tangy.
Overall - A proper English Bitter! The malt and the hops are balanced. I would have appreciated a little more malt foundation, however. Still, I was very happy with my purchase.
