16oz can
Pours a finger of off-white head into my Willi. Initial retention is average, but a sturdy half-finger head lasts for some time. Lacing is solid. Body is a deep amber, low visibility, with a moderate nucleation. Looks good.
Nose is clean, with a slight minerality and a toasty malt profile that I wasn’t quite expecting. Smells very nice.
Flavor is noticeably toasty, really clean other than that.
Light bodied. Minerally, with a high carbonation. Noticeable bitterness in the finish, pushing well past the veil of malt. Very well attenuated, but doesn’t drink all that dry. Overall a nice mouthfeel, the carbonation and bitterness bring a lot of energy.
Drinkability is great.
Overall a tasty, clean beer. Domestic Czech offerings are often quite light on malt, and the ones that are darker, still seem to lack weight. This actually carries a good punch of malt and flavor.

Golden amber body, white head. Toast, peach, slight roast and earth with a finish of gentle piney hops in nose. Taste has the pine hops and malts working together with an earthy yeast backing, slight stone fruit and resin aftertaste with bready grains. Feel is light and dry, with a clean finish.

Can from Uptown Market.
A clear amber with a dense, beige head with good retention and lacing. The nose is soft, toasty, mildly bready and caramelized, a deep, rich toasted malt character with soft fermentation character. Hops are earthy and mildly lemony. The palate opens creamy, mildly bitter with a nice, grainy sweetness. There's honey, caramel, mild toffee, honey. Earthy hops follow on the mid-palate with a bitterness that integrates both hop and grain characteristics present. Moderately carbonated, creamy mouthfeel, paradoxically both fullish-sweet and also watery. Solid.
